Stage 1:
Be positive. Calm yourself and think "I can", "I am"
Stage 2:
The glass IS half full! This will maximise your opportunities of success in life, you can find the strangest things in the most randomest of situations, keep your mind open!
Stage 3:
Do you think lucky? apparently, if you think your lucky good things will happen, according to Professor Richard Wiseman's 8 years worth of research into "Luck". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Wiseman
Stage 4;
EXPECT GOOD FORTUNE; keep your eyes open at all time you have know idea what might be under your nose when your walking down a street....mmmm maybe a £50 note!
Now I don't personally believe in luck, i believe if you have the right frame of mind and attitude, anything can happen. Approach your boss in the right way you could get that project that you wanted instead of Bob getting it. Or if you think that a little something can better a design, do it you never know, you might be asked if it can be on display or in a fashion show. Think about the film "Yes Man" he was dared to say yes to everything people asked him. Relate that to your own life, maybe if you said "Yes" a bit more often maybe you could make an amazing friend, that I dont know.....works for Alexander McQueen?!
Its like that advert too, where the guy is standing on a street handing flyers out to advertise "His friend playing at a pub" but he doesn't say who, and the people that said yes saw Plan B play at this pub....well don't those people feel silly missing out on that!
Any one else in the same place as I am (First Year Uni Student) will proberbly not be thinking about after Uni and jobs, but its good to know that 90% of art garduates make really good conections and go on to get what they wanted out of life! Now the way to do that is to talk to people, go to clubs even on social networks. As a class we have been set a task to meet 1 new person each week or speak to someone randomly, as a fresher that should be pretty easy I recon! I'll keep you updated on people Iv met and stuff.
Be friendly like 1955 America! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCwHzd530Sc
